Development Project
Brief: To design a logo and visual identity for a new premium urban district in Bratislava (Slovakia). The client’s requirement was that the core of the visual identity be in dark green and beige, with strong inspiration drawn from London’s conservative style and elegance.
Insight: The project, called Downtown Yards, represents an exciting vision of modern city living. The architecture and communication of the project are inspired by London’s conservatism and elegance — buildings with a classy London character and international-standard architecture.
Market positioning and tone of voice: A premium next-generation urban district for upper middle-class people who want to live a modern European city lifestyle in the dynamic center of Bratislava, with an emphasis on architecture, community, services, and high-quality public space.
The look & feel of the visuals is primarily fashion-oriented. In the compositions, we work with materials that always feature high-end finishing and premium textures.
Branding: I created the logo in several compositions to allow flexible use across various layout arrangements, all built from simple geometric shapes. The layout is a free composition of geometric elements that enables variability according to the individual needs of each visual application. I believe that the traditional approach of rigidly predefined layouts is outdated.
