1-2 Ski Jumping hill at Štrbské Pleso at night and during the day. An architectural icon that was the envy of the whole world. The proposed winter sports complex was designed by architects Eugen Kramár and Jánon Šprlák-Uličný. Built on the occasion of the Nordic Skiing World Championships in 1970.

The name Kriváň is derived from the root krivý meaning “bent” or “crooked”. The exact elevation of Kriváň is currently recognized as 2 494,7 metres.
